Before you send the package, make sure nothing is missing, old, or wrong.
That sounds basic.
But when a design package has hundreds of PDFs, it is easy to miss something.
A Simple Package Check
-
Nothing missing
Does every item in the Deliverables List have a matching file? -
Nothing extra
Are there files in the folder that are not listed in the register? -
Nothing old
Are the latest revisions being issued? -
Nothing named wrong
Do the file names follow the naming convention? -
Nothing inconsistent
Do the file name, PDF title block and register match?
This is the kind of check that gives confidence before issue.
Not just:
"The package was checked."
But:
"We know what was checked, what passed, and what needs fixing."
